Narrative:
After takeoff; we attempted to retract the gear. Upon gear retraction; the main gear lights extinguished; but the nose gear remained down and locked with a green light indication. The gear handle was placed back in the down position and we observed normal gear down indications for all gear. We diverted to a larger airport and executed a normal approach and landing.
