Narrative:
Climbing through FL235 captain noticed high oil temperature on engine 2 followed quickly by ECAM to shutdown engine 2. Led to overweight landing on return to the airport (approximately 153;000 pounds). Engine 2 showed 10 gallons [quarts] at shutdown. Uneventful approach and landing made by captain.

Title: A320 flight crew experiences high engine oil temperature climbing through FL235 which results in an engine shut down and return to the departure airport after declaring an emergency.
Narrative: Climbing through FL235 Captain noticed high oil temperature on Engine 2 followed quickly by ECAM to shutdown Engine 2. Led to overweight landing on return to the airport (approximately 153;000 LBS). Engine 2 showed 10 gallons [quarts] at shutdown. Uneventful approach and landing made by Captain.
