Narrative:

Observed an air carrier holding on taxiway D on south side of runway 8L on what appeared to be the wrong side of the hold short line. Tail of medium large transport appeared to be at the edge of the runway with another air carrier medium large transport on landing roll. We called ground to alert controller and aircraft. Landing aircraft cleared tail with no incident. RVR variable 1800 to 6000 1/4 mi visibility obscured. There may be two hold short lines that might be confusing, either way it appeared to be on the wrong side.
