Narrative:

We had been cleared by coast approach to descend to 2000', intercept the localizer to lgb runway 30 ILS, maintain 2000' until intercepting the G/south, cleared the approach. We were tracking inbound on the localizer and out of about 2300-24000' for 2000' when approach called a traffic alert at 11 O'clock. We saw the high wing single engine aircraft at 11 O'clock and approximately 200-500'. The copilot, who was flying, immediately pushed over and turned right to avoid the aircraft (the aircraft was headed approximately east to southeast at right angle to our course). When I saw that we had cleared the aircraft I told the copilot to resume the approach, that we were clear. He started to recover from the dive we were in and in a slight climb we saw another aircraft in essentially the same position and heading relative to our flight path. He increased the climb in order to avoid that aircraft. We missed both aircraft by approximately 200'. There is absolutely no doubt that if we had not seen or if evasive action had not been taken a collision with either aircraft would have been a certainty.

Title: NMAC WITH 2 SMA WHILE ON LOC APCH TO LGB ARPT. TRAFFIC ADVISORY GIVEN.

Narrative: WE HAD BEEN CLRED BY COAST APCH TO DSND TO 2000', INTERCEPT THE LOC TO LGB RWY 30 ILS, MAINTAIN 2000' UNTIL INTERCEPTING THE G/S, CLRED THE APCH. WE WERE TRACKING INBND ON THE LOC AND OUT OF ABOUT 2300-24000' FOR 2000' WHEN APCH CALLED A TFC ALERT AT 11 O'CLOCK. WE SAW THE HIGH WING SINGLE ENG ACFT AT 11 O'CLOCK AND APPROX 200-500'. THE COPLT, WHO WAS FLYING, IMMEDIATELY PUSHED OVER AND TURNED RIGHT TO AVOID THE ACFT (THE ACFT WAS HEADED APPROX E TO SE AT RIGHT ANGLE TO OUR COURSE). WHEN I SAW THAT WE HAD CLRED THE ACFT I TOLD THE COPLT TO RESUME THE APCH, THAT WE WERE CLR. HE STARTED TO RECOVER FROM THE DIVE WE WERE IN AND IN A SLIGHT CLB WE SAW ANOTHER ACFT IN ESSENTIALLY THE SAME POS AND HDG RELATIVE TO OUR FLT PATH. HE INCREASED THE CLB IN ORDER TO AVOID THAT ACFT. WE MISSED BOTH ACFT BY APPROX 200'. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT THAT IF WE HAD NOT SEEN OR IF EVASIVE ACTION HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN A COLLISION WITH EITHER ACFT WOULD HAVE BEEN A CERTAINTY.
