While performing the installation inspection of a slide replacement for a boeing B777 at ZZZ maintenance hanger; spot X area; I armed [cabin] door-2R (2-Right) to make sure all arm/disarm indications showed proper positions. In the instant from arming the door; looking [down] at the lower door indicators and performing the door operational check for smooth operation; clearance; and verify proper [door] bustle installation and workmanship; I moved the door handle slightly before remembering to disarm the door; which inadvertently blew the slide.
