Narrative:

On departure climb from bna controller gave us a heading 010 degrees. Upon frequency change center said we were off course, needed to correct to the east but gave us a west heading turn to 360 degrees. We turned for J-39 and rolled out on centerline. Later center said we were east of course 3 mi, turn 015 degrees for intercept. We noticed frequent needle swings on CDI and asked cabin attendant to check for electronics. Found 2 tape players on. When turned off navigation CDI needles stabilized and we corrected for on course. These devices are allowed according to our flight manual part 1 and the far's. Question: when will the FAA wake up and ban all these devices? After someone has an accident on an ILS or VOR approach?!
