[In flight] we experienced a rough running engine. [We] notified tower that we were making a precautionary landing in a parking lot. Landed the helicopter and inspected for anything out of the ordinary. [We] called company maintenance to take a look at the aircraft. Company owner and maintenance arrived and owner flew the aircraft to [home base].
