Narrative:

Received 'equipment' light annunciation with recall 'doors' light annunciation during climb after takeoff after clearance to 14;000. The lights mentioned above annunciated at about the time we climbed through 13;000 ft. We leveled off at 14;000 ft. We called ATC to request to level off and not climb further. We ran the QRH. [We] decided that the cabin pressure was relatively high given the low altitude. [We] requested to return. Do not know the reason for the event. The maintenance contractor had problems with the east & east compartment door handle. He repaired or rectified the east & east door handle; and then with maintenance control deferred/M.east.left.'d the door light. We did not receive any indication or problems thereafter.
